Glorifying God Alone
.... "I am not seeking glory for Myself; but there is one who seeks it, and He is the judge."
(John 8:50)
.... "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me . . . that He may be glorified."
(Isaiah 61:1,3)
.... Therefore let’s return to one of our mysteries from earlier in this module, the story of the leper who approached Jesus as He entered Capernaum, after the Sermon on the Mount. This man fell down at Jesus’ feet and worshiped Him, imploring Him that he might be cleansed; and through this act of worship, he gave the glory to Jesus Himself (and Jesus did receive this worship because, as the Son of God, He was worthy and could not deny Himself -- 2 Timothy 2:13). Yet Jesus had by no means come for this purpose, so He properly deflected the glory from Himself, and redirected it to the Father, instead: .... "See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
(Matthew 8:4)
.... Whenever someone came and worshipped Jesus, or if they seemed on the verge of doing so, He always acted in such ways to preempt them. Rather than seeking the glory for Himself, He would even tell them: "See that you say nothing to anyone" because, from His own perspective, it was better that they should remain silent than to give Him the glory, as opposed to glorifying the Father. For He had come for that purpose, and not for the other:.... "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him."
(John 7:18)

Daily Bible Reading:Now that you’ve finished reading the four gospels, Jesus would have shown you how His sufferings and glory fulfilled the Old Testament’s prophecy (Luke 24:27, 44-45). To offer something as similar as possible, a special break-out module has been prepared: The Sufferings and the Glory. For today, please read the Chapter 2 Introduction and Chapter 2 itself, in this module.

Because Jesus humbled Himself and exalted the Father, the Father has also highly exalted Him Therefore:
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
(Phil 2:5-11)
This also provides a very practical answer to the question, ‘How can I use my ministry to promote the kingdom of God, rather than the other way around?’ Simply keep the eternal perspective in mind, and follow the example of Jesus.

I suppose Phil 2:5-11 says it all doesn't it? It is amazing this communion we now have with Christ as our mediator and husband. Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We would not be able to worship the father properly were it not for the Son's mediation and the Holy Spirit's strength.
I will have to further explore what you present in Jesus' witness to tell no one. I was also thinking that his time had not come. He did however recieve worship on the donkey that day in Jerusalem and seemed to encourage it as He said, "The stones would cry out!"
Perhaps it was a timing issue as in John 17 he prays for Himself to be glorified by his Father as the hour had come. You are right though as his purpose was to bring glory to the Father. It is an amazing thing.

P.S- I guess I won't try to figure it out and I will give glory to our precious Abba as the Scriptures clearly witness that this is what Yeshua wants me to do.

In reality I think we both see the same thing only from different angles. Mankind always seeks to seize what only belongs to God alone.
Mary? What have I to do with thee(or woman). Mankind has the intellectual ideal of what God should do for him. i.e- we get passionately excited about a movie like Mel Gibson's and then have to hear the same voice Mary once did.My hour is not yet come. The hour came at the point of John 17. We want to seize him and make him our king so that all will see the glory and we along with it as Mother Zebedee. But we don't know what we ask for and what we ask for when we seek that end will be fullfilled only in Phil 2. This is indeed why mankind sought out Christ and why He said, see that you tell no one. Oddly the ones that sought having been drawn by the Father come hungering and thirsting to meet Him at the grand point fullfilled at Calvary. This is what true faith is I believe and what or why we hunger and thirst. I think we both agree as I meditated much on this post today. Glory to the Father through Yeshua His precious Son and only by the strength of His Holy Spirit. There is no other way. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved! He has fulfilled this end that you magnify brother Loren.
